I am going on my first archery elk hunt this September and would like to know what steps to take when I have a responsive bull within two or three hundred yards. I know everything can be dependent on the situation at hand, but I’m concerned about what to do with my calling. Do I cow call? Do I just shut up and hope he knows where my general area is? Do I continue to bugle? Or do I go to him assuming he’s not going to come to me?
